National Engineering Month

Continuing our National Engineering Month events, on Friday March 8th, we surprised our employees with custom shortbread cookies! Each cookie was wrapped in a cellophane bag, tied with a ribbon, and placed on everyone’s desks before their arrival. The design of a light bulb created with multicoloured gears was accompanied with a special message to our engineers: “We appreciate you a whole watt”. Talk about a sweet surprise!

For the entire day, we played TED Talks in the lunchroom with featured topics in engineering and technology. This way, everyone could enjoy watching the talks during their breaks and lunch. Topics included how data can be stored in DNA and answering whether or not we can create products that create themselves.

International Women’s Day

March 8th was International Women’s Day, and so we celebrated our female staff at Aversan. In the afternoon, we came together in the lunchroom for donuts to honour our hardworking female employees. As an engineering company, we take pride in having so much female staff, and strive towards creating a more equal workplace for all.
