Aversan upgraded an existing programmer due to the programmer’s code compiler (Borland C/C++ compiler) being at the end of its life. As part of the upgrade, the programmer was made to be cross-platform between Windows and Linux, and could be executed on a laptop’s DVD drive. All test data and results were written to a USB drive. The same programmer was upgraded by the production department for in-house use at Safran Electronics. Specifically, it would be used for the programming of future Data Collection Units (DCU-V).
