Aversan was responsible for the turn-key development of the WheelTug system’s cockpit controller. The WheelTug is a system that enables aircrafts to taxi without the use of their engines.

The WheelTug includes small electric motors in the nose wheels that enable the pilot to drive forward and backward without tractors or an engine. It allows for the pilot to maneuver around gate and terminal areas without tug or engine delays.

Through Aversan’s turn-key support, the WheelTug reduces costs associated with engine and brake wear, as well as fuel usage. By reducing the time spent on the ground, the WheelTug provides a better flight experience for passengers overall.
